Students can claim eCards by going to www.heart.org/cpr/mycards, and entering their First Name, Last Name, and Email Address. Please note that the information must be the same as the information provided to their Instructor during training.
The American Heart Association (eCards@heart.org) will send each student an email with the link to claim your certificate. This link will be available to you until your certificate expire 2 years from the date issued. PLEASE make sure when you sign in for the course that your email address is correct. Please note you should use your personal email address as some businesses block these types of emails.

Yes, CPR can be performed on a person who has drowned. In fact, drowning is one of the most common causes of cardiac arrest in children. It is important to start CPR as soon as possible to increase the chances of survival.
The recommended compression-to-breath ratio for CPR is 30 compressions to 2 breaths. This ratio should be maintained until help arrives or the person starts breathing normally.
Yes, For all of our courses registration is required. You may register online at www.marylandcprandsafety.com Course dates do fill up fast so pre-registration needs to be completed prior to the course date. If the course is full, please call the office.
It is an AHA requirement that you must have access to the latest edition of the course book. You have the option of bringing your own, purchasing the book when you register.

Class does NOT have a grace period. Everyone should arrive at least 15 minutes prior to class starting to allow time to check in. Once the course is started you will NOT be allowed to attend on that date.
There are no refunds for classes. You may reschedule to take the class within 30 days of your missed class. Once you register for a class you are taking up a seat or a date that another student or business could have used. You are responsible for that registration.
